Know the Requirements for a Panama Driver’s License if you are 70 years old and over before your visit at a Sertracen location

If you are 70 years old and above and planning to obtain a driver’s license, SERTRACEN has made some changes below to ensure the safety and well-being of both the license holder and other drivers.

Certificate of Good Physical and Mental Health
If you are 70 and over, you must submit a certificate of good physical and mental health. This certificate serves as proof that the license holder is fit to operate a vehicle safely. You can get this certificate from a doctor who specializes in internal medicine or geriatrics.

Required Information on the Certificate 
The certificate must include the following information for the license holder:
– Full name 
– E-Cedula number
– Seal and signature of the physician who issued the certificate

The Certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issuance. 

Renew your license online

For anyone age 70 and over a driver’s license is issued for 2 years only. 

You can renew online and have the drivers license couriered to you or pick it up at a Sertracen location by visiting the Sertracen website.
