To qualify for the Panama Retirement Visa, an individual should be at least 18 years of age and have proof from a foreign legal entity that they will be earning a monthly income of, at least, $1,000 USD for the rest of their life. The income of $1,000 USD per month for retirement in Panama is sufficient for one person only. For each dependent, who will retire in Panama with you, an additional income of 250 USD per month is required. As dependents, can only be considered the spouse, and the children of the couple up to the age of 18 or, if they are full-time post secondary education students, up to the age of 25.
Friendly Nations Panama Immigration Residency Visa

This Visa allows foreigners to invest in reforestation initiatives while earning permanent residency in the country.
The Panama Reforestation Residency Visa offers permanent residency to those who invest at least $100,000 USD to $360,000 USD in an approved reforestation project.
Depending on the amount of the investment there is an Express Process and a Regular Process
Express Reforestation Residence Visa
Invest $350,000 USD in an approved reforestation project.
$10,000 USD will be used for maintenance and management of the project.
The Reforestation Residency application is submitted to Immigration Panama for review and approval.
Receive Permanent Residence within 2 to 6 months.
This investment must be maintained for a period of 8 years
Regular Reforestation Residence Visa
Invest $90,000 USD for the land.

$10,000 will be used for maintenance and management for a period of up to 8 years.
The Reforestation Residency application is submitted to Immigration Panama for review and approval. With this approval you will receive a 2 year temporary residency visa.
Afterward 2 years you can apply for the permanent residency visa.
Once the application is approved, the provisional residency visa is replaced with a permanent residency visa.
The permanent resident must hold the investment on the reforestation project for at least 5 years once permanent residency is approved.
During these 5 years, after permanent residency is granted, the permanent resident must submit yearly documentation to the Immigration Panama proving he still holds the reforestation project under his name.
For this reason, the applicant needs to budget and consider maintenance and administration expenses for the reforestation project for at least 8 years.
As dependents, can only be considered the spouse, and the children of the couple up to the age of 18 or, if they are full-time post secondary education students, up to the age of 25. An investment of $2,000 USD for each dependent must be added, which can be substantiated through a local bank reference.
Foreign Professional Panama Immigration Residency Visa
Panama Immigration allows Citizens of all nationalities to apply for a Foreign Professional Panama Residency Visa if they have a university diploma in a career that’s not in their long list of exclusions. Investment Requirements
As an investor, you will receive permanent residence in Panama if you:
Invest in real estate for $300,000 USD
The real estate property can be a title deed or sectional title in a development
NOTE: As of October 2024, the minimum real estate investment requirement will change to $500,000 USD.
Invest through a brokerage firm in Panama for the amount of $500,000 USD.
Invest in an open fixed term deposit in Panama’s banking sector for $750,000 USD.
Once the application has been submitted to Immigration Panama it takes about 30 days to be reviewed and approved.. Once the application is approved, the applicant will be considered a permanent resident of Panama.
To maintain permanent residency status you do not have to live in Panama, you just need to keep the initial investment in place for at least 5 years and visit Panama at least once every 24 months.
Agricultural Investor Panama Immigration Residency Visa
Applicants making a passive investment of $60,000 USD in Panama agricultural projects, aquaculture or farms may qualify for an Agricultural Investor Panama Residency Visa. The maximum period for temporary residency under the Panama Agricultural Investor Residency Visa is 6 years and the temporary residency permit must be extended every 2 years. An additional investment of $500 USD is required for each dependent. Domestic Worker Panama Immigration Residency Visa
Any Panamanian national or a Panama temporary or permanent resident can hire a foreigner to work as a Maid, Gardener, Cook, Chauffeur, Personal Assistant, Butler or Nanny. These workers will have a Panama Residency Domestic Worker Visa for one year and be eligible to receive up to 4 extensions, provided that the applicant continues to work for the same employer.
Panama University Studies for a Residency Visa
An applicant may be eligible for a Panama Residency Student Visa for one year and be eligible to receive up to 6 extensions, provided that the applicant continues to attend a post secondary institution that is approved by the Ministry of Education.
